Had a conversation with my GP, he told me about one of his patients who is 105yrs old. He asked him what it felt like to live that long the old gentleman replied, "its better than the alternative".
I laughed and said as a committed christian, I had no worries about death. For some reason this made him quite cross and he said sharply "yes, but its still a trip into the unknown".
Well, not quite unknown but I said there is no fear.
He looked at me long and hard for a moment and said "now that is commitment"
This made me think: For those with faith, they believe they go into a better life, but those without faith
believe they cease to exist, so why should they be afraid of becoming nothing as they won't know about
it.
Makes you think.
